Today’s couple’s love story was written in the stars. Chris and Seema started their romantic journey six years before they got married, but they had been in each other’s orbit long before that. The couple both grew up in the same small town frequenting many of the same places but never met until a mutual friend introduced them to each other in high school. Like many high school stories go, the couple lost touch soon after and went their separate directions up until years later when they both found themselves living in Washington DC. The rest, as they say, was history!

Fast forward six years later and Photographick Studios was on hand to capture their big day. Chris and Seema were married in a Hindu ceremony at the Long View Gallery in Washington DC. The bride wore a beautiful white and red traditional sari with stunning gold jewelry and jasmine flowers outlining her hair. Chris looked dapper in his printed achkin.

I love how Photographick Studios captured the details in this wedding. The venue had such a modern look but they were able to capture the softer details with their décor shots. I especially love this picture of the mandap with twig branches and the big floor to ceiling windows in the background.

For the reception, the bride changed into a purple and silver printed lengha while Chris changed into a handsome Nehru suit. The orange accents and florals really bring a pop of color to their reception décor. I especially like the bride and groom signs and the custom garam masala favors- so unique!
